Services in Canada

Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment

Golder provides global services for Human Health and Ecological Risk Assessment (HHERA) and risk management.  Our services address contaminated sites and regulatory approvals for proposed private or public sector projects. Golder emphasizes a tiered approach that uses problem formulation to guide cost-effective implementation of exposure and effects (toxicity) assessments to support the development of risk estimates and risk characterization for site management planning and other purposes. Our multidisciplinary approach integrates our in-house team of human health and ecological risk assessors, chemists, toxicologists, ecologists, environmental engineers and scientists, modellers and systems failure mode analysts. Services include:

  • Environmental sampling
  • Risk assessment and risk prioritization
  • Risk management and risk communication
  • Expert witness
  • Design and implementation of risk-based remedial plans
  • Site monitoring and information management
  • Decision analysis and probabilistic cost estimation
  • Development of guidance documents and policy white papers
