SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN, CANADA -- Golder Associates Ltd. has donated more than $25,000 in technology to three Saskatoon community schools. This donation provides state-of-the-art technology to Princess Alexandra, Pleasant Hill and St. Michael community schools to engage over 550 students in literacy, math and science classes.

"We believe students in all elementary schools across Saskatoon have the same potential if given the same opportunity to succeed," explains Rob Lesperance, Principal and Office Manager of Golder in Saskatoon. "Golder is proud to donate technology that creates a fun-based learning environment, designed to engage young minds and motivate them to excel."

Golder worked closely with the three schools' community coordinators, principals and teachers to identify resources that will enhance each school's learning programs and captivate their students in literacy, math and science classes. As a result, a total of six smart boards, 12 iPads, 10 document USB cameras and an array of educational apps and accessories were donated to infuse classes with new and exciting learning tools.

"We are grateful to receive this support for our students from Golder. Innovative technology provides us with another means to enhance learning opportunities for our students, which keeps them motivated and engaged in school," says Avon Whittles, Director of Education for Saskatoon Public Schools.

"Technology is now an integral part of education. With it, we can enrich learning and help students develop the skills they need to navigate the digital world effectively and safely. This donation from Golder helps us do this work and we are thankful for their generosity," says Greg Chatlain, Director of Education for Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools.

Teachers in the three schools have received training on this new technology and are already fascinating students with fun-based learning tools.
