Golder has worked in the Canadian North for over 40 years and has built strong relationships with the First Nations and other communities in the region. In 2007, we opened our Whitehorse office, base of operations for the Yukon Territory, and a great local resource for our clients to expand their network.
We respect the fact that the Aboriginal people in the North depend on the region for subsistence and that the environment is a strong part of the tradition and cultural values of the North. We also understand that a high value is placed on traditional ties to the land, and integrate traditional and local knowledge into project planning. Golder offers traditional knowledge services in-house, and also a broad range of engineering and environmental services.
